We need night owls

Oxfam Trailwalker is a huge logistical affair which couldn’t run without the help of our generous and dedicated volunteers.

We need about 650 volunteers to help us run each event, which is a massive task for our small team. We have all kinds of jobs for all kinds of people. But most of all, we need people to help us on overnight shifts.

Overnight shifts are often peak time shifts and when our teams need the most support. This year we are offering volunteers who sign up and work on an overnight shift a chance to win the Oxfam gift hamper filled with goodies from the Oxfam shop, pictured below.

You can double your chances by bringing a friend, or triple your chances to win by signing up for leadership roles such as Checkpoint Coordinator, Assistant Checkpoint Coordinator or Parking Coordinator.

We’ve got your midnight munchies covered

The chance to win this hamper is not all you receive by signing up to volunteer. Our Checkpoints are fully stocked with coffee, tea and lollies. And our fabulous sponsors Paddy Pallin generously provide you with a gift, a Keep Cup to use at the event, and then take home. Reuse it for takeaway coffee, chai or whatever hot drink tickles your fancy whether you’re at the office or out on the weekend at your local coffee shop.

This year we also have partnered with Oliver’s Real Foods for your volunteer snacks. You will  receive a snack pack which includes a protein bar, crisps, freeze dried fruit and a coconut water to keep you going as the midnight oil burns.
