What happens at Celebration Night?
The night is a casual affair, with formalities running for approx. one hour, and then we’d love you to stay and mingle with your fellow walkers, support crew members and volunteers.
During the night we’ll be celebrating our top fundraisers, category winners and fastest teams while also handing out some special awards, as well as eating some delicious canapes and enjoying each others company and the great view too!
Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
We give you all the opportunity to nominate the people who made your event amazing.
Here are the special award categories:
This award honours a team that exemplifies energy and passion for fundraising and Oxfam’s work. Enthusiasm for Oxfam Trailwalker and commitment to training and preparing for the event. Embodying team spirit in a fun, caring and supportive way, between all members of the team and support crew.
Overcoming the odds
This award honours an individual who has overcome personal adversity to participate in this year’s event, where the notion of “challenge yourself, challenge poverty” could not ring more true.
Superstar support crew
This award honours the unsung heroes of your Oxfam Trailwalker journey and there are some support crews that certainly go that extra mile.
Outstanding volunteer awards
Oxfam Trailwalker simply couldn’t happen without our incredible volunteers. Was there a particular volunteer that you think made an impact on this year’s event?
- Beyond the call of duty – for a crew member who goes that one step further
- Musketeers award – all for one and one for all – this is a group award for crew members who work well together as a team
- Standout skipper – for a captain or vice-captain who keep everything shipshape during the event
